Where is the school situated?

Giralda Center is proud to offer you the most privileged location in central Seville: At a stone’s throw from the Royal Alcazar gardens, the Santa Cruz quarter, the historical Central University of Seville and the Plaza de España. We are in Avenida Menéndez Pelayo 16. We have metro and bus stops at our door steps.

What is the average age of your students?

The average age of our students ranges from 18 to 35 years old, but we have no upper limit. We also organize closed groups and language and culture programs for teenagers (12 – 16 years old).

Where do your students come from?

Our students come from all over the world: Europe, North America, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Canada and Australia. We also have an average of 200 local students from Seville studying English, French, German and Italian at our school, whom you could practice your Spanish with.

Do the students have internet access in the school?

We have free WIFI for all our students in all the school premises, as well as some computers you can use any time, free of charge. The school is open from 08:30-21:30 Monday through Friday.

When do I have to pay?

The payment has to be made at least one week before the first day of your course.

Can I pay with credit card?

We do accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express). Other forms of payment accepted are: online payment through our web site, bank transfer or cash at the school´s office.

How is the weather in Seville?

In winter the temperature is around 6º-18ºC/42º-64ºF with occasional showers.
In spring the temperature is around 15º-25ºC/59º-77ºF with more sun, but with the risk of showers.
In summer the temperature rises to 18º-40ºC/64º-104ºF and the weather is dry.
In autumn the temperature returns to 15º-25ºC/59º-77ºF and occasionally wet weather.

Which known cities are situated around Seville?

Seville is exceptionally well connected with all mayor Spanish cities by high speed train AVE: Madrid 2hrs 30 minutes, Malaga less than 2 hrs. Historical towns such Granada, Cordoba, Ronda are worth a day-trip. The fantastic Atlantic coast of Cadiz or Huelva is within an hour by bus or train ride. If you want to be adventurous we offer one-day or weekend trips to Morocco or to the beaches of the Algarve in Portugal.

How big is Seville?

Seville is the capital of Southern Spain, Andalusia. The population of the city is approximately 700,000 inhabitants.

Is it easy to get from the airport to the city center?

From the airport it is possible to go by bus for 4€ or taxi for 28€ to the center of the city. Also, the school offers an airport transfer for 45€. For more information.

How many levels do the courses have?

We work with 6 different levels at any time, all year round – beginners, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, pre-advanced and advanced

How much do you learn in a month?

In general we say that 4 weeks of the Standard course – 80h – brings you up one level.

If I register for 4 weeks for example, can I later decide to extend it?

If you prolong your stay one week we have a price for an extra week. If you decide to extend your course for 4 weeks more for example, you just pay the price for 4 weeks again.

How do you evaluate my level?

On the first day of class we ask you to be here before classes start to give you a level-test. The test consists of a written and oral part with one of our teachers.

How many students are there in each class?

We have a maximum of 10 students per class, which allows all students to participate.

What is the timetable of the courses?

The timetable for our Intensive Spanish Course is from 09:00h to 13:00h. Afternoon additional classes take place 14:00h to 18:00h. Monday – Friday.

Can I also do an exchange with Spanish students at the school?

Yes, we have in the school Spanish students learning English, French, Italian or German during the year, with whom you can practise spanish.

How can I register for a course?

You can book and pay for your course, accommodation, insurance and airport transfer through our web site if you wish. But if you prefer you can send the registration form you find on our website with your personal details and dates for the course and accommodation and any other details. Once we get this form we will send you an email to explain how to do the booking and payment of the course.

When can I start a course?

Total beginners have to start on the beginning dates you can find on our website or in our brochure, but students with some knowledge of the language can start on any Monday of the year.

Can I change the type of course once I have started?

Yes you can, except changing to a private one-to-one course.

Do I get my own room?

In our accommodations the students always get their own private bedroom, unless the student specifically asks to share a double room with his/her friend.

Are the accommodations situated close to the school?

All our accommodations are within walking distance from the school – maximum 20 mins., walking, but typically 10 or 15 mins.

Are the shared apartments shared with Spanish people?

We have apartments where Spanish people live and others exclusively for our foreign students, so we always try to accommodate each student according to their specifications.

Do I have to bring towels or sheets?

The apartments are always fully equipped with towels, sheets and kitchen utensils, so you only have to bring personal items such as shampoo, a toothbrush, etc.

Can I arrive at my accommodation on a Saturday?

Normally there is no problem arriving on a Saturday, it is only important that we know in advance when you’ll arrive.

If by any reason I am not happy with my accommodation can I change it?

We will put all our effort and experience to provide you with the accommodation that best fits with your specifications, but, of course, if for any reason you are not happy, we will provide you with an alternative accommodation in the shortest time possible at no extra cost.
