Tour of Granada
Granada was the capital of Islamic Spain under
the Nazary dynasty from 1238 until 1492.
The Alhambra palace that overlooks the city from
the top of the hill of the same name was built between 1333 and
1391 and it represents the culmination of Islamic art and architecture
in Spain and perhaps the world. It is a jewel of architecture,
comprised of wood and plaster carvings enclosed by pools and sensuous
gardens.
