Learn Spanish in Seville - Linving culture and travelGiralda Center-SH program of complementary cultural activities and weekend excursions. Giralda Center-SH is more than a language center, we understand that language teaching must be complimented with learning experiences outside of the classroom. The objective: students understand and relate with the linguistic, social and cultural reality which surrounds them. All of our activities have been designed by our teaching team and they are integrated into our curriculum for the learning of Spanish: language, travel and live culture. All of our Spanish courses include a minimum of four hours of complimentary cultural activities in and out of the classroom. In addition we make available a broad program of weekend trips so that you can get to know other parts of Andalusia and Spain. Literature and cinema workshops:We offer Spanish film series: classic and contemporary with an opening debate so that you understand the Spanish reality of the last 30 years: Almodóvar, Fernando León, Alejandro Amenábar, Benito Zambrano, Carlos Saura... We offer a complimentary, monthly Spanish literature series: Cervantes and El Siglo de Oro (the Golden Century), Federico García Lorca, Luis Cernuda, Javier Marías, Arturo Pérez Reverte, Isabel Allende, García Márquez, Brice Echenique, Latin American literature. Weekend trips and excursions outside Seville:Córdoba: the Mezquita (mosque) and the juderia. Discover the secrets of olive oil production visiting the Cordobese southern countryside. Granada: visit the Alhambra and Abaycin. Huelva and Christopher Columbus. Cádiz: We invite you to discover how our famous wines are made, visiting the wineries of Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. We offer weekend excursions to the beach near Cadiz: Caños de Meca, Conil, Bolonia, Puerto de Santa Maria. Mountain trekking on the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos (route of the White Towns). Madrid: Weekend in Madrid, guided visits to the Prado museum, Royal Palace, Museo Reina Sofia and tour of the historic quarter of Madrid. San Fermines in Pamplona. Portugal: We organise regular excursions to the beach in the summer season. The island of Tavira in the Algarve coast is a natural paradise, only 90 minutes from Seville. Morocco: weekend in northern Morocco. We visit the towns of Tangier and Fez, Asilah and Chaouen. And all this we offer with one objective: that you cease being a mere linguistic spectator and you become an active part of communication, so that you see everything with your own eyes, so that you perceive individually, so that your learning becomes compact, human and long-lasting. |
