What applications does the DELE Diploma haveE?

The DELE Spanish Diploma is the only officially recognised qualification for Spanish as a foreign language and as a second language in its corresponding levels and is internationally recognised by private companies, chambers of commerce and public and private educational systems.

The Spanish Diploma is deemed to be adequate certification of a Spanish level sufficient for any professional or academic activity in Spain which requires the corresponding level of ability.

The DELE Diploma de Español has the following status in Spain according to the different levels:

• • Holders of the Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior) are not required to sit any other Spanish exam for the purposes of accreditation of studies made in another country upon entering into the Spanish educational system.

• • Holders of the Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio) have the right of access to the ciclo superior of the first level of specialised teaching in the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.

• • Holders of the Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio) or Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior), according to the case, are not required, if they are nationals of other States of the European Union, to sit any other Spanish exam when presenting for posts offered by the State Administration or its public organisations.
