Breakdown of the Exam: Intermedio The exam consists of the following sections: 1. Reading Comprehension In the official exams candidates are given 60 minutes to complete this section. Candidates are required to answer 12 multiple choice questions based on 4 texts. The texts used have a maximum length of 450 words. 2. Written Expression The duration of this section in the official exams is 60 minutes. Candidates must write a personal letter and a composition, each of which must be between 150 and 200 words. 3. Listening Comprehension In 30 minutes, candidates must answer 12 multiple choice questions based on 4 oral texts (recordings), which may be notices, news excerpts, conversations or interviews. 4.
